Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Sydney

Salary : A$135,000.00 – A$145,000.00 per annum

Role Overview

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions, primarily on AWS, supporting both on‑premises VMware environments and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitLab CI / CD pipelines.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS services such as EKS , RDS , EC2 , S3 , Athena , Lake Formation , SNS , SQS ; use Helm for Kubernetes add‑ons.
• Ensure high availability and resilience across on‑prem and cloud environments, including network design with VPC endpoints and VPC peering.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to standardise and automate deployments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot hybrid infrastructure using monitoring tools and develop tooling as required.

Infrastructure Scope

Operate and extend in‑house data centres managed by a team of specialists, supporting trading and enterprise platforms, while delivering standardised automation across AWS and a small GCP footprint.
