The Feathers Hotel in Burnside is seeking a talented and creative Functions Chef with a passion for producing high-quality canapés and event menus. If you have at least three years of experience in function or banquet-style cooking and a flair for presentation, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re a highly function-focused venue with an outstanding reputation for delivering premium events and exceptional food. From elegant weddings to corporate celebrations, you’ll play a key role in making every occasion unforgettable.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Work closely with our Functions Manager and Head Chef to plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding function menus and canapés

Maintain high presentation standards and consistency across all dishes

Ensure all food safety and hygiene procedures are met

Bring fresh ideas and creativity to our function offering

ABOUT YOU

Qualified chef with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role

Strong understanding of function and canapé preparation for high-volume events

Excellent attention to detail, plating, and presentation

Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to work under pressure

Reliable and flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends
