Position Overview
The Bureau is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to manage the Radar Engineering group within the Operational Technology Engineering (OTE) team. OTE supports observation systems and operations within the Observing Systems and Operations (OSO) program.
The Manager Radar Engineering will lead and manage a diverse group of technical and scientific team members to provide engineering support to the Bureau's Radar, Ionosonde and Wind Profiler networks.
The successful candidate will also act as the Bureau's radiation protection advisor, working with experts in laser, ionising and non-ionising radiation management requirements.
The role also includes working with Bureau and external stakeholders to ensure successful operation of these capabilities.
