NBMLHD is a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, providing a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures to diagnose, assess, and treat patients’ injuries or diseases.
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead radiation and laser safety across the district. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide expert medical physics services while ensuring compliance with the NSW Radiation Control Act and Regulation. You’ll champion safe practices, advise on hazard mitigation, and maintain systems that keep staff, patients, and visitors protected. From managing the Radiation Safety Committee to leading incident response and policy development, you’ll be at the forefront of safety and innovation.

What You Will Do
Lead radiation and laser safety across NBMLHD; provide expert medical physics services; ensure compliance with NSW Radiation Control Act and Regulation. Manage or contribute to Radiation Safety Committee activities, incident response, and policy development. Promote safe practices and hazard mitigation to protect staff, patients, and visitors.
