Report injury, hazard, or illness immediately, where practical to their supervisor. Not place others at risk by any act or omission. Not willfully or recklessly interfere with safety equipment. Wear PPE correctly and maintain a minimum of 2 sets in good working order. Operate licensed plant only if qualified, and ensure all critical daily checks are completed prior to use. Utilize equipment and mechanical aids to minimize heavy manual handling. Utilize tools and equipment for their intended use only. Advance Microsoft Excel skills AutoCAD, Inventor and ANSYS skills Why are you the right candidate for this role?
Barker Trailers are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Woodend North VIC.
PURPOSE
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all elements of the allocated product and design package are completed efficiently and with the highest quality.
TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Compilation of job sheets and associated documentation.
- Design and preparation of construction layouts, detailed workshop assembly drawings and technical documentation.
- Preliminary mechanical engineering computations / calculations.
- Design analysis using company FEA package.
- Where necessary undertake additional duties and or assist other areas of the business to ensure that the requirements of the production schedule are achieved.

Salary range is $85,000 - $95,000pa commensurate with experience
