Baldivis Gardens Primary School (PS) is inviting applications for an Education Assistant – Special Needs to support the school’s inclusive education program. Vacancies are permanent and fixed term, full‑time and part‑time and may arise during the 2026 school year.

Role and Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering planned education programs across a wide range of curriculum areas and year levels.
- Assist in the modification and maintenance of the learning environment.
- Work independently and, when required, without supervision, demonstrating initiative to manage challenging behaviours.
- Support students’ academic, social, emotional and physical development.
- Provide care and support for students with a range of disabilities, learning difficulties and health conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and diabetes.
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in special education or a related field.Experience working with students with a range of disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.Experience supporting students with chronic health conditions such as diabetes.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents and support staff.Organisational skills and ability to support the delivery and development of effective education programs.Eligibility
Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa that allows work for the term of the appointment.Valid Working With Children Check before commencing.Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtaining a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before commencing.Equity and Diversity
