The Rapid Assessment, Diagnosis and Intervention Unit Sutherland (RADIUS) is a community-facing unit based within the Hospital for general medical patients to receive rapid assessment and intervention (in a day-only context) by a multidisciplinary team, prior to supported discharge back into the community or admission for further treatment.
RADIUS is a 6-bed unit caring for patients referred from ED, GP’s, NSW ambulance and community services. It is co-located with a 7 chair / bed Infusion and Procedure unit with nursing staff working across both models.
The vision for nursing and midwifery at The Sutherland Hospital is to build a united team that provides compassionate care to our community through transformational, supportive and holistic nursing and midwifery.
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients / clients of The Sutherland Hospital & Community Health Services consistent with SESLHD and The Sutherland Hospital & Community Health Services policies, procedures and standards.
