About the Role
Due to strong growth and recent wins in the Water market in Queensland, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with experience in water and wastewater infrastructure including pipelines, drainage systems, pumping stations, dams, water-retaining structures and treatment facilities to join our team in Brisbane.
This role would suit somebody looking for a new journey, within a growing team and an interest in developing best practice with the local water industry. You will have the opportunity to :
- Prepare design calculations and support drawing development for infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, and water treatment facilities.
- Coordinate design progress, reviews, and stakeholder workshops (e.g. SID, HAZOP).
- Produce specialist reports and interface with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Define and develop engineering solutions that balance cost, constructability, and client outcomes.
- Apply multi-criteria analysis and carbon calculations to optimise designs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and global delivery partners.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to bid development.
About You
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.Actively progressing towards RPEQ in your field / disciplineDemonstrated experience and / or an appreciation of wastewater treatment processes, wastewater and water networks and their associated infrastructure.Proven experience as an engineer delivering water and wastewater projects across networks and treatment, preferably within design and construction projects.Knowledge of national standards, including Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA)Be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and written skills.Mott MacDonald celebrates diversity and inclusion, offering a supportive work environment that values work-life balance, diversity, inclusion, and equity.
