About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists within the Rapid Access Hub at St. Vincent’s on the Park for a motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager who is seeking a challenging and rewarding Surgical leadership role overseeing the Rapid Access Hub as part of the Theatre / Perioperative Team.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, will be responsible for the delivery of high quality patient care or patients. The ANUM will support and assist the Nurse Unit Manager in achieving specific Key Performance Indicators as developed for the Unit as well as providing mentoring and leadership to the Nursing Team
o Acts as a clinical role model by providing the highest standard of direct patient care.
o Supervises, directs and supports nursing staff in clinical practice.
o Has experience and is able to take on a floor coordination role when required
o In liaison with the Nurse Unit Manager and relevant health professionals, assist in achieving agreed activity targets so that St Vincent’s is able to reach its annual targets
Classifications for this position will range between YW11 - YW12 ($106, - $110, per annum pro rata).

You will also have :
o Current AHPRA Registration
o Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment
o Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
o Comprehensive clinical experience in anaesthetics / PACU
o Previous management / ANUM experience
o Experience in the leadership and management of a multidisciplinary team
o Experience in budget planning, preparation and management
o Post Graduate Qualifications or near completion of post graduate qualifications in perioperative nursing
o Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain

St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) opened the Rapid Access Hub (RAH) which operates out of the St Vincent’s on the Park (SVOP) campus. The RAH at SVOP is a day surgery centre which allows SVHM to provide diagnostic and quality of life improving procedures to patients who have had care and treatment postponed due Victoria’s extensive planned surgery wait list. The RAH at SVOP is a day surgery service concentrating on specialities including Plastics, Orthopaedics, General, Urology, Colorectal and Endoscopy.
