Registered Nurse – Critical Care / ICU

Exciting opportunities are available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join the close-knit Critical Care Team at a private hospital in Melbourne on a permanent part-time basis. If successful, you must be available to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating roster. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role within a supportive team in ensuring high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include :

• Supporting the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of excellent standard of evidence-based, person-centred patient care;
• Demonstrating professional practice as evidenced by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, and Healthscope's polices and processes;
• Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Delivering education and support to individuals / patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs;
• Leading successful quality improvement and safety mangement project / s to deliver desired outcomes;
• Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
• Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.

REMUNERATION

A salary ranges between $36.13 to $48.32 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in southeastern Melbourne, is a state-of-the-art 147-bed hospital, comprising a 24 / 7 Emergency Department, 6-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9-bed specialized Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialized inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Rehabilitation Services.
