    • We are looking for a proactive and passionate full time, permanent Case Worker to join the Key Assets team covering Blacktown.

    • About the role
    • You will provide regular and on-going coaching, supervision and support to Foster Carers, working in partnership with them to provide high quality, safe care for children and young people. You will work as part of a team to build carer skills and knowledge on how to look after children and young people in a way that enables them to fulfil their potential; promotes their independence; builds their resilience; develops their social networks; and includes them in decision making.

      You will be responsible for conducting Annual Carer Reviews, undertake assessments of potential carers and present Assessment and Review Reports to the Key Assets Panel.

    • Qualities, Experience and Skills Required
    • Key Assets considers that being Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA).
    • To be successful you will have a strong understanding and solid skills relating to out of home care (OOHC) and child protection. You will have a Cert IV or higher in Community Services i Field (or equivalent). The role will primarily be based within the community working with foster carers and maintaining the safety of the children or young people in care. Travel within and around your coverage area is an expectation of the role so flexibility and the ability to work unsupervised is an essential component.
