At MacKillop Family Services were on the lookout for a compassionate enthusiastic Youth Workers to help make a lasting impact on the lives of young people in our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) Program. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a supportive dynamic team and contribute to the development of young people who need your guidanceenergy and care.

We are currently offering Part Time opportunities based in Luddenham NSW area and surrounds you will need to have flexibility of working various day / night weekends and sleep over shifts. Reporting to the House Manager.

About the Role :

Youll be more than just a Youth Worker. Youll be a mentor a role model and a change-maker. Youll play a key part in helping youth overcome challenges building their confidence and guiding them on their journey toward a brighter future.

You will provide trauma-informed services that achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families. You will offer young people safety stability predictability and consistency by implementing the house guidelines and supporting the implementation of individual strategies andcase plans. As well as participate in team meetings house meetings and case review meetings to ensure that young people receive services that meet their needs.

What Your Day Would Include :

  • Mentor and engage young people guiding them through life skills development and personal growth.
  • Role model positive behaviors emotional intelligence and social responsibility.
  • Empower youth by encouraging their active participation in decisions that impact their lives.
  • Provide hands-on support with day-to-day tasks like meal prep shopping and housekeeping to ensure a safe and stable environment.
  • Collaborate with a vibrant team to tailor services that meet the specific needs of each young person.
  • Safeguard their wellbeing by reporting any concerns to ensure theyre safe and supported.

    Youre passionate about supporting youth and ready to make an impact. Whether you have previous experience in youth services or are eager to start your career in this field we want to hear from you. You bring :

  • Must Have A Diploma in Community Services Youth Work or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in youth services or residential care.
  • A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and a commitment to cultural competency.
  • A trauma-informed approach to working with young people facing significant challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage motivate and support youth effectively.

  • Valid and Current Drivers Licence
  • Valid and Current Workers with Childrens Check
  • Valid and Current NDIS Workers Screeners Check
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check
