Salary Package : $90k - $95k Super

Role Highlights :

A well-established national logistics business is expanding rapidly and looking for a skilled Payroll Officer to join its high-performing team. With operations across multiple sites the company supports key players in essential industries and has experienced significant growth over the past five years.

This business operates in a high-volume blue-collar environment and is currently undergoing digitisation and payroll transformation making this an exciting time to join and help shape the future.

Role Overview

Reporting to a highly experienced Payroll Manager youll be part of a close-knit team of 4 and take ownership of end-to-end payroll for 1000 employees. The environment is dynamic and complex covering a number of different business entities a mix of EAs and awards and a large casual workforce. This is a hands-on role with clear potential to step into a 2IC / team lead position if demonstrating the right attitude and skills.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end weekly payroll processing (1000 employees across 16 locations)
  • Complex EBA and modern award interpretation
  • Manual adjustments long service leave calculations and data validations
  • Superannuation and payroll tax compliance
  • Labour allocation and ad hoc reporting / analysis
  • Managing manual and digital timesheets (Kronos)
  • Payroll amendments new employee setups and onboarding
  • Involvement in payroll process improvement and system projects

Candidate Profile

Youre a confident payroll professional with a solid foundation and are ready to take the next step in your career. You thrive in fast-paced environments enjoy solving problems and have a keen interest in improving processes. With 3-5 years of experience in medium-to-large complex payroll environments (500 employees) you bring strong hands-on skills including manual processing and payroll adjustments. You have strong Excel experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs and have worked with time and attendance systems ideally Kronos. Your deep understanding of EBAs awards and IFA agreements complements your experience with ERP systems. Highly analytical and detail-oriented you are driven to ensure accuracy and compliance. A qualification in payroll or finance would be a valuable advantage.
