This role will assist the Procurement team in partnering with and influencing the broader South Pacific business, by carrying out end–to-end category strategies and market engagements (starting from spend analysis through to negotiation), contract execution, and managing supplier relationship managements as required across all relevant categories.Main Responsibilities : Contribute to the development and implementation of end-to-end procurement strategies designed to improve value and minimize costsEffectively partner with key internal stakeholders and contribute positively to teamwork to achieve operational outcomes and promote a positive workplace culturePartner and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient outcomesProvide category analysis, insight and support to internal stakeholders and provide category representationIdentifying and implementing effective strategies to maintain continuity of goods and services for assigned projects, categories and suppliersImplement, and execute procurement processes and strategies to optimize and continually improve the performance of the Procurement function and Colgate-Palmolive businessLead or support as assigned end to end market engagements including opportunity identification, baselining, RFx's, negotiations, through to approvals and contract executionProvide operational, analytical, and commercial support across any procurement related activities, supplier relationships, escalations, or any other procurement enquiriesCompliance / process improvement and any other projects as assignedEnsure that all vendors are operating in compliance to the Colgate Palmolive procurement policiesSupporting strategic initiatives, including global priorities, stakeholder, digital transformation and process improvement initiativesContributes to local Funding the Growth (FTG) programsRequired Skills, Qualitifications and Experience : 3 - 5 years Procurement experience (marketing experience is highly desirable)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levelsStrong understanding of managing the RFx process end-to-end, with strong project management skills.Energetic and self-motivated individual who enjoys not only working in a team, but also having autonomy to complete your roleStrong customer-focus with proven ability in influencing, communicating and negotiatingProactive self-starter who is highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and achieve results under tight deadlinePreferred Requirements : FMCG experience (preferred by not essential)SAP experienceAriba experience (highly desirable)Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & InclusionAchieving our purpose starts with our people — ensuring our workforce represents the people and communities we serve —and creating an environment where our people feel they belong; where we can be our authentic selves, feel treated with respect and have the support of leadership to impact the business in a meaningful way.Equal Opportunity EmployerColgate is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, disability, marital status, veteran status (United States positions), or any other characteristic protected by law.Reasonable accommodation during the application process is available for persons with disabilities.
