Support Worker / Disability Support Worker

Position : Support Worker

Location : Glen Iris / Balaclava, Victoria

Hours : Mondays, 9am-4 : 30pm (additional days may be negotiated)

Payment : Casual work, $50 / hr (commensurate on experience) with training and initial supervision.

About the role :

• Responsibilities
• Drive the individual to and from the cafe (travel expenses reimbursed)
• Facilitate the individual to be fully engaged in his work
• Collaborate with the cafe team as required to maintain a good working relationship
• Document progress and provide regular updates to the individual's support team
• Supervise the individual's personal care when required

Qualifications and Experience :

Experience working with neurodiverse individuals

Understanding of Positive Behavior Support

Background in psychology, allied health, disability or a related field

A professional, responsible, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude

Demonstrable skills in communication and time management

Availability during the hours specified

Australian Driver's License and a vehicle to drive the individual

Police Check (essential)

Working with Children Check (desirable)
