This is a builder that has operated successfully in the Melbourne building industry since approx 2001. They deliver townhouse projects (Some of which are their own developments) which range in size from 20 - 200 townhouses per site.
The Directors are great blokes and very professional. They have a successful formula when it comes to building and it means they have remained competitive against larger players. Until now, they have outsourced the Safety Management to an external consultant but they are now bringing the role into their office and working closely to implement more updated safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities to includeConduct safety audits ensuring that on-site compliance is achieved and all notified hazards are rectified within a strict time frame.Conduct office-based and site OHS inductions for all new employees and contractors.Carry out incident / near miss investigations and file reports to management.Drive and enforce on-site compliance in regards to induction training, high risk work compliance, electrical compliance, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and correct use of PPE and visual control measures.Review OHS management plan & develop new systems, procedures and policies.Motivate the site teams to adhere to safe work practicesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCertificate IV OH&SGeneral Construction Industry Induction Card ( White or Red Card)Minimum 5 years Construction ExperienceIT and Systems knowledgeIdeally, we are looking to speak to a Safety Advisor with leadership aspirationsM : 0413 148 314
