Job description

Join Liebherr Australia as an apprentice Service Technician so you can earn while you learn!

You will undertake a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology gaining hands-on experience and mentoring from our highly skilled professionals. This 4-year apprenticeship will equip you with the skills needed to become a qualified Service Technician.

Our Apprenticeship Program offers comprehensive training and on-going support, empowering you to reveal and discover your full potential.

Start Date : January 2025
Location : Mount Thorley, NSW

What you will learn as an Apprentice Service Technician

Inspect plant and equipment for conformity with established standards

Request required spare parts

Operate workshop equipment including mobile lifting equipment

Diagnose faults, repair, maintain and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components

Diagnose and rectify minor electrical faults

Repair damaged or faulty parts by machining & welding or fabricating new parts

Lubricate plant and equipment

Running adjustments to mechanical equipment

Other duties as directed

About you

Passion for learning new things, enthusiasm, sense of pride, high attention to detail - Positive attitude, problem solver and a high commitment to safety

Driver’s License and access to transport to and from the facility

Completed year 11 before January 2025

Full working rights in Australia

Certificate II or pre-apprenticeship course in a relevant field (highly desirable)
