Members of this team are involved early in new initiatives, from app technology to treasury and customer support.We are seeking a Head of Risk for our New Zealand team.

You will oversee risk management activities, ensure compliance with banking and payment regulations, and lead efforts to maintain regulatory adherence.What You'll Be DoingCollaborating with the first line of defense to identify and mitigate risksEstablishing risk policies and proceduresCreating key risk indicators (KRIs)Developing a risk appetite frameworkDesigning efficient risk management processesMonitoring risks and implementing corrective actionsLiaising with regulatorsBuilding and leading a team of specialistsImplementing risk management toolsLeading projects to enhance risk capabilities in New ZealandWhat You'll NeedProven risk management experience, ideally in banking, fintech, or paymentsExpertise in enterprise risk, operational risk, and compliance within regulated environmentsKnowledge of banking, FX, and card scheme regulationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsData-driven approachLeadership and communication skillsStakeholder management and ownership enjoymentNice to haveExperience in process engineering (Lean, Six Sigma)SQL proficiencyDegree in business, engineering, economics, finance, or related fieldsProfessional certifications like MBA, CFA, CAIA, or FRMWe prioritize diversity and inclusion, believing it drives innovation and excellence.
