The Opportunity The NDIS Team at Mt Wilga Private Hospital is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary allied health team, providing Therapy Supports under the NDIS for people with a diverse range of disabilities. The team includes experienced physiotherapists with close links to both the neurological team and the orthopaedic team. Opportunities to work with a wide range of participants and patients is available. The physiotherapists in the Mt Wilga NDIS Team, work towards the NDIS Goals of NDIS Participants and provide thorough assessment and plan review reports. The NDIS Team is seeking an additional permanent part time (20 hours per fortnight) physiotherapist to meet growing demand and to also cover periods of planned and unplanned leave, including annual leave and long service leave.
Duties Conduct assessments and therapy interventions for a diverse range of NDIS participants who require Therapy Supports to achieve their NDIS goalsProviding NDIS reports including physiotherapy assessment and plan review progress reports in a thorough and timely mannerCreate, monitor and upgrade Allied Health Assistant programs for NDIS participantsSupervise individual hydrotherapy programsWork both independently and within a team structureSkills and Requirements Degree in Physiotherapy with APHRA registrationDemonstrate a high level of knowledge and skill in multiple areas of PhysiotherapyDemonstrate advanced time management and organisational skillsDemonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skillsCommitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence-based practiceDemonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to Quality ImprovementNDIS experience and a passion for working in the disability sectorMinimum 2-5 years post-graduate experienceAbout the Hospital Mt Wilga Private Hospital is a 119-bed specialist inpatient rehabilitation facility, with a busy day therapy unit and outpatients department situated in Hornsby, a peaceful area of Sydney's Upper North Shore.
