SCGOPHCG invites applications for 3 part-time positions ( as Education Registrars , in the fields of Surgery, Medicine and Critical Care.
The Education Registrar positions sit within a growing Medical Education Unit with a Team of Clinicians, Medical Education Officers, and Medical Education Support Officers, supporting innovation in education for Medical Professionals ranging from medical students through to consultants. We work closely with the newly opened state of the art Simulation Centre and applicants will gain skills in a range of teaching formats including simulation.
Successful applicants will be involved in educational activities on a hospital wide basis, primarily working with doctors-in-training. They will also be actively engaged in, orientation, mentoring, and evaluation of educational activities. The Education Registrar position will provide benefits for the incumbent trainee, the hospital, and those they teach.

Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical service including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre - the largest cancer treatment centre in the State - and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
