And that difference begins withmembership.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FORThe Liquor Co. 1977 is seeking a dynamic andexperienced Assistant Manager for a full-time, permanent position at ourlocations in the Greater Victoria Area.

Our ideal candidate will haveflexible availability throughout the week (Monday to Sunday).Applicants must be 19+ years of age.We are a people first business,with a strong focus on our customer and member needs.

Our ideal Assistant Manager issomeone that :

• Has solid knowledge and experience in the liquorindustry, bonus points if you're a trained connoisseur (Oh là là!

Brings at least two years of supervisory orleadership experience in a related fieldKnows how to prioritizeand delegate duties to be accomplished, holding the team accountableHas experiencescheduling, managing and developing peopleGood with numbersand can handle cash and other basic numerical calculations quickly andaccuratelyBusiness acumen and can interpret market data and financial info tohelp drive sales and support smart merchandising decisionsHas strong computer skills(SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, POS and sales tracking tools are partof your toolkit)Monitor category sales performance and developstrategies for improvementCommunicates clearly andconfidently, both in writing and in personLeads by example withintegrity, teamwork, and a strong focus on safetyMust be able to handle a physically active role : standingfor long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

They act ina leadership capacity to ensure the effective operation of the department.

Keyareas of responsibility include ensuring a pleasant, comfortable, and safeshopping experience for our customers; being a leader to the team, providingsupport to enable them to do their jobs and develop their skills; ensuring thedepartment is well merchandised, stocked, organized, spotlessly clean andadequately staffed; and administrative tasks like ordering, pricing andinventory.
