- About the Opportunity
As part of the Data Governance & Privacy team, this role will play a critical part in implementing a robust data governance framework across Endeavour Drinks Group.
With an increasing focus across the group on the use of data to empower decision making and uplift revenue, this role performs a critical function to ensure better understanding, quality, and governance of data.
- It would particularly suit someone who : _
- has had extensive experience working in the field of data governance
- has expertise in data quality, lineage, metadata, data ownership & accountability, retention and disposal
- has experience in business catalogue and data quality tooling
- has had exposure to data information security practices and cloud databases
- has an understanding of data personalisation, analytics, and reporting
- has the ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and deliver on multiple streams of work simultaneously
- has the ability to work across multiple brands and stakeholders of varying levels of maturity
- has experience implementing technical solutions (PAAS & SAAS) in a complex multi brand organisation
- is delivery focussed, and experienced in agile methodology
- is keen to work in a fun, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
- Drive the delivery of data governance across Endeavour and work with the data governance & privacy team to develop and execute a strategic road map to ensure our data is safe and trusted.
- Create and conduct governance processes to measure data management and data quality maturity across various domains
- Create, update & support policies, standards, and processes related to data management, quality, access, and security are followed in all environments. Create repeatable data management processes within Data Governance & Data Ingestion space
- Work with stakeholders to understand, prioritise, and document business and technical needs, and to ensure alignment with DG strategy
- Support the implementation of a new data lineage, metadata & reference data management framework and technology solution in partnership with IT. Utilise this solution to identify, initiate and champion improvements in data quality, sustainability and security.
- Working with stakeholders in understanding data onboarding requirements and supporting onboarding of data assets to Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).
- Conducting quality checks of assets onboarded to ensure data onboarded is as per requirements.
- Conducting Data Quality (DQ) of data onboarded using DQ tool (Ataccama) and reporting results to business data asset owners to help increase DQ.
- Cataloguing metadata to data catalogue tool (Collibra) and ensuring that data assets are classified, certified and prioritised to enable our community of users to trust the data they use in their decision making processes.
- Support the requirement to ensure Endeavour data assets areAlongside other members of the data and Analytics team, work to uplift the group-wide Endeavour data culture and capabilities.
- Contribute to the management of a portfolio of data governance initiatives for Endeavour. This includes the development of concepts, business cases, project planning, and delivery.
- What you'll need to succeed
- At least 1-2 years experience in a data governance analyst and / or project management role in a data and / or risk related role within a large organisation or consulting firm
- Experience in implementing frameworks, policies, processes, and transformational agendas in large organisations
- Hands-on experience managing data governance tools including; Collibra or Ataccama is an added advantage
- Hands-on experience managing enterprise cloud data platform including; GCP or Azure (bigquery, data loss prevention, data catalogue & cloud IAM) an added advantage
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile project delivery model environment.
- Eagerness to work in a fun, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
- Exposure to data governance, data information security practices, and cloud databases
