Job description

Epworth Eastern (Box Hill) are currently recruiting for casual Business Officers. In this role you will be part of the Patient Services Centre and report to the Patient Services Manager. You will be responsible for both the front and back-of-office administration processes to the hospital.

  • You will make an impact by
  • Processing patients prior to hospital admission
  • Assisting patients, visitors and medical specialists with admission and discharge related enquiries
  • Providing excellent customer service when working in the main or ward reception
  • Completing ad hoc bookings for unplanned / after-hours admissions
  • Completing other activities including health fund validations, estimates, patient attendance scheduling and performing informed financial consent
  • To be successful in this role

You will be a dynamic customer service orientated business officer who takes pride and ownership in their work. Your professionalism, ability to embrace flexibility and work in a changing environment will see you settle into your new role well. You care about the way you make people feel and want the hospital experience to be special for the patient, family, medical team and your work colleagues alike.

You will have :

  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar administration role
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Accurate and speedy data entry skills
  • Relationship and people management skills
