• Must be AU citizen and eligible to secure an NV1 Security Clearance
• Responsibilities Undertake Mechanical (Marine)Design Activities related to Ship Concept, Preliminary and Detailed Design inthe following platform systems areas : Main and auxiliary propulsion units and relatedsystems;
• Fluid systems;
• HVAC; and
• Auxiliary systems Undertake analysis whererequired to support integration of main and auxiliary machinery and systemsinto naval ships. Requirements analysis development andverification of design against requirements. Perform engineeringinvestigations and develop documentation such as reports and specifications. Produce ship, compartment andequipment arrangement models (2D and 3D) as required to support integration ofmain and auxiliary machinery and systems into naval ships. Liaise with clients and specialistsubcontractors in the above areas where required. Interface with other disciplines for thedelivery of technical services. Other duties as required to support design andconsultancy activities. Understanding of ILS,Training and Configuration Management issues as applicable to ship design. HSEQ Responsibilities : Uphold Company HSEQ Standards at all times forall activities Ensure all HSEQ Management system documentationis implemented and complied wit Participate in the HSEQ Committee Communicate and consult with team members on anyHSEQ issues or concerns Report all hazards andincidents in a timely manner and participate in incident investigations asrequired Participate in any relevant HSEQ Training,Drills or Exercises Participate in any relevant audits orinspections Be responsible for their own health and safetyand that of their team Minimum EducationalQualifications : Professional Engineer withminimum tertiary qualifications in Mechanical / Marine Engineering. 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering. #J-18808-Ljbffr
