  • Role Summary

We are now seeking a Principal Consultant to support our national Transport Advisory team. This presents an excellent opportunity to join a team with a strong and respected delivery track record, with multi-year engagements supporting major Australian rail projects. You will be accountable for managing the delivery of existing rail operations and strategy projects and development of new work.

  • Desired Skills, Experience and Capabilities
  • Degree qualified in engineering, transport planning or other relevant disciplines.
  • Experience in managing teams of technical SMEs, including input from remote / global SMEs within a project delivery environment
  • Excellent technical, project management and communication skills to manage the delivery of strategic and technical advisory engagements
  • Ability to engage with and represent SNC-Lavalin Atkins in front of senior stakeholders and government representatives
  • Adept at communicating complex ideas to non-specialists, including writing, drawing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience of the following would be beneficial;
  • Rail corridor and network capacity analysis
  • Rail operational and infrastructure planning
  • Service plan and timetable development and optioneering
  • Network operating plans or concept timetables
  • Development of fleet
  • Maintenance and stabling plans
  • Rail network simulation
