As the General Manager for the Australian market, your primary responsibility is to oversee and ensure that all business activities and operations align with the company's overall strategy and mission and produce desired results.
With the National Innovation Manager, National Growth Manager, National Operations Manager and National Manager People, Culture and Safety, reporting to you, you will utilise your expertise in finance and marketing to execute high-quality strategies and plans that align with both the short-term and long-term objectives of the company. Building a highly effective flywheel focussing on new business and functions that incorporate all channels and market segments will be crucial in driving growth.
You will report to the Managing Director and also contribute to the success of the Global Leadership Team.
Additionally, you will foster a unified approach to customer service and distribution that meets the ever-evolving market demands. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be valuable in identifying and providing solutions to any challenges that may arise, while your leadership will be a key feature in ensuring the company's successful implementation of its business plan.
AgriProve's head office is based in Albury NSW, with key personnel in Sydney, and a growing geographically disperse employee base in almost each State and Territory. Travel will form a key component of this position, initially spending time in Sydney and Albury, and ongoing across Australia throughout regional areas.
You are a proven leader with a successful track record at an Executive level. Ideally, you will have experience in a start-up or scale-up that has rapidly developed into a results-driven, profitable business. You will have experience in leadership within a highly regulated environment to ensure that compliance is a fundamental part of the company culture.
Having excellent operational and execution skills with an eye for detail and accuracy is essential. You should possess proven finance management skills and a customer-focused mindset to manage AgriProve's rapidly growing and geographically dispersed customer base. You should also have a proven track record as an adept team builder, with the ability to create a high-performance Senior Leadership Team.
You must possess the ability to think creatively, cut through complexity and mitigate problems before they occur. Being comfortable with ambiguity and cool under pressure is a must. You should also be a good listener, ask insightful questions and use feedback to help the business test new ideas and technology.
Stakeholder management is also a key part of the role, as you will be responsible for promoting and informing AgriProve's work. Building relationships with everyone from senior government ministers to community groups is necessary.
