We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a results-oriented Assistant Asset Manager (Retail) to work within our NSW Property Team. We have offices based in both Surry Hills and Bella Vista and work flexibly. The purpose of this role is to provide professional and proactive management of Woolworths Property retail assets to maximise value for Woolworths.

The Woolworths Property team is accountable for all property undertakings of the Woolworths Group and exists to "provide comprehensive, proactive property solutions to support the existing retail businesses and their future growth". The Asset Management function is part of the Woolworths Property team and is responsible for the management, leasing, lease administration and disposal of the property assets owned or controlled by Woolworths.

  • About the Opportunity
  • As an Assistant Asset Manager, your main responsibilities will be to provide professional and proactive management of Woolworths Property retail assets to maximise value for Woolworths. Reporting to the Senior Asset Manager Retail, you will be supporting the asset management of Woolworths retail assets, including shopping centres and other retail property, to maximise asset performance, total returns and long-term value.

    The role of Assistant Asset Manager (Retail) includes the following requirements :

  • Assist the Senior Asset Manager in the development of new shopping centres by providing advice on outgoings estimates.
  • Support and manage the successful opening of new shopping centres in conjunction with the Senior Asset Manager and the Development Team
  • Assist in the preparation of the asset strategy for each shopping centre.
  • Support and manage property and facilities management service providers with a strong focus on optimising asset performance.
  • Assist with the management of expenses and capital to ensure that the overall presentation for each asset is in accordance with internal service standards
  • Provide oversight of the tenancy design process to ensure that fit-out standards of tenants are at the highest level.
  • Support and manage the preparation of annual budgets, financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure that all legislated or Woolworths Corporate occupational health and safety requirements are met or exceeded.
  • About you
  • Experience / Skills :

  • Demonstrated experience in Retail or Commercial Asset Management or Property Management
  • Degree qualification or higher in Property, Business, or related discipline (desirable)
  • Strong financial, analytical and written skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Being proactive, showing initiative and having very good attention to detail
