The RoleThe Chief People Officer will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Leadership team to align the people strategy with the overall strategic direction of Patches. You will embed an exceptional culture of high performance and engagement in alignment with the Patches' mission and core values of Professionalism, Accountability, Tech-savvy, Commercially-savvy, Happy, Effective and Safe. To be successful in the role you will be an exceptional leader with the capability to influence and create effective outcomes.
You will also :
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance recruitment, retention, remuneration, performance, growth, learning and leadership development
- Build organisational capability through coaching and developing leaders and teams to drive a high-performance culture
- Contribute to the reward and recognition program, including performance related bonus scheme for clinical staff, Team Leaders, and Managers
- Manage the People & Culture team, providing oversight of operational functions including payroll and striving to create a culture of continual improvement around employee experience and wellbeing
- Oversee the development of processes and procedures to ensure robust, efficient systems are in place
- Manage complex employee relations and Industrial Relations issues with adherence to legislation
- Develop a Marketing and Social Media strategy to promote the Patches brand and attract talent
- Maintain a strong focus on Health and Safety compliance to ensure compliance with all legislation including Workers Compensation across multiple States and Territories
- Progressively develop Patches as an employer, to position Patches as a sector leader in workplace culture
- Ensure Patches progresses strategies around cultural and gender equity and diversity within the organisation
- Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
- Demonstrated experience (>
5 years) in successfully leading a people and culture function
- Track record in growing teams and organisations, and improving company performance
- Significant experience in award interpretation and knowledge of industrial relations legislation
- Ability to coach managers in dealing with HR issues and performance management
- Strategic thinker with the ability to think critically, propose and implement practical and cost-effective solutions
- Expert in shaping and driving high performance among teams, leaders, and managers, within a framework of structured KPIs / OKRs
- Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build relationships at all levels
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Able to excel in high-pressure situations
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience in utilising marketing functions to attract and retain talent
