MACA is seeking an experienced Mining Supervisor to join our mining business on a permanent, full-time basis, working an 8 : 6 / 7 : 7 FIFO roster (day and night shift) from Perth to Gruyere.

The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.

Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, the Mining Supervisor is responsible for leading and mentoring a crew of Production Operators to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.

Key responsibilities :

• Supervision of ROM and COS surge areas.
• Conducting dump inspections and ensuring design compliance.
• Coordinating road works and sheeting campaigns to support tyre preservation.
• Managing topsoil movement and external pit development.
• Assisting the Pit Supervisor with hot seat changeovers.
• Ensure that all work activities are conducted in accordance with contract / project management plans and statutory requirements.
• A distinct understanding of managing procurement, plant, equipment and resources.
• Ensure that all technical, engineering and specified aspects of the work activity are complete prior to commencement of works.
• Support day to day activities, providing direction to production crews, ensuring effective shift handovers, prestart and toolbox meetings.
• Identify areas for improvement, assess training requirements and provide coaching and development opportunities for staff.
