Casual Purchasing Administration Officer

Location : Tomago, NSW

Casual Rate : $43.65 per hour

We’re looking for a detail-oriented  Purchasing Administration Officer  to assist our Supply team with day-to-day purchasing and inventory tasks. This role is  administrative-focused  and does not require formal procurement or purchasing qualifications—perfect for someone with strong admin skills who enjoys working with systems, suppliers, and stock management.

What You’ll Do :

  • Raise, approve, and follow up on purchase orders.
  • Reconcile invoices in Oracle (JDE) and resolve any mismatches.
  • Assist with warehouse stock management, including stock counts and audits.
  • Communicate with suppliers across different industries to track orders and resolve queries.
  • Manage vendor-managed consumables and process stock returns / transfers.
  • Monitor and respond to requests in the Underground Requisitions mailbox.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Supply team and assist with various tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Strong administrative skills and experience in an office environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to keep things organised.
  • Comfortable working with purchasing systems (Oracle JDE experience is a plus, but not required).
  • A team player who can communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers.
  • No formal purchasing / procurement qualifications are required—this is an  admin-heavy role .
