We are looking for experienced Chefs & Sous Chefs to join our client in Mackay, QLD.
In this hands on roles, the chosen candidates must :
- Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible
- Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guidelines
- Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service
- Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met
- Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the brigade
To be successful for this role you will possess the following :
At least 1-Year of relevant employment experience is required in prep and a la carte essential (Lunch & Dinner)Appropriate trade qualificationsExperience in fast paced, service and quality focused venuesGuest orientated and passionate about foodSound knowledge of food hygiene practicesThe ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detailExcellent interpersonal skills, relatively good English communication skillsPossess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the teamIMMEDIATE START
The positions are full time, $70-$80K a year salary depending on the position and experience.
