Casual Educators

Playgroup NSW, the peak body representing playgroups across NSW, is a not-for-profit organisation that has supported families and strengthened local communities for over 50 years. Our Purpose is to lead play-based programs and services for NSW families with children birth to school age, offering development, shared experiences, and family support, that results in active citizens and inclusive communities. Our Vision is to positively impact every NSW child, their family and community in the first 2,000 days of life.

We are currently looking for Educators to work on a casual basis to help support our Lead Educators and create great play experiences!

• If you have some availability to help for a few hours a week during school terms, we'd love to hear from you._
• About you
• Minimum Cert III in Child Related Studies or currently studying within a relevant field.
• Experience working in an early childhood setting.
• Strong knowledge of development through play practices and positive parenting strategies as well as an understanding of the importance of early learning attendance for children prior to school.
• COVID-19 Vaccination Mandatory.

• About your new role
• Engage positively in a play-based learning environment to foster and support all facets of child development (physical, social, emotional, language, creative and cognitive).
• Collaborate with children about their interests and support children in learning about the decision-making process.
• Support the inclusion of all children and families in the playgroup experiences.
• Help set up and pack away the learning environment and maintain an aesthetically pleasing environment.
