Organization The University of Queensland - Business School Location Location Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Posted Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Accounting Job Description & Qualification The UQ Business School invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Accounting, commencing in 2026. These ranks are broadly consistent with the Assistant Professor or advanced Assistant Professor rank in the North American context.
We welcome candidates with expertise across all areas of accounting. Applicants should hold (or expect to complete) a PhD in Accounting or a related field by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will have demonstrated potential (Level B) or established excellence (Level C) in research, teaching, and academic service. A record of publication in leading journals and a pipeline of high-quality research is essential. Senior applicants should also have a record of successful HDR supervision and external funding.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a balanced teaching and research position with access to generous research support, including a 40% research time allocation, internal funding schemes, and a collegial, research-focused environment. You will teach in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, contribute to curriculum development, supervise research students, and engage in service activities.

St Lucia Campus, Brisbane – a vibrant and liveable city in Australia's Sunshine State.
