Working for one of Australia's most respected organisations, I am currently recruiting for an Service Desk Officer to join a small but experienced ICT team. This role will be a permanent position based on the South Side of Brisbane, close to public transport and with great career development opportunities.

Reporting to the IT Manager, you will provide Level 1 and 2 support across a broad range of products and services. To be successful in this role you will be proactive, self-motivated, results-driven and customer focused. Your 'can do' attitude and willingness to adapt to the forever changing IT industry will put you in good stead for future career growth opportunities.

  • About the Role
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration is also desirable;
  • Triage and first level support;
  • Training and being trained on the in-house ERP / CRM solution;
  • Providing 1st point of contact business support on the ERP / CRM solution;
  • Providing 1st point of contact business support for business software;
  • Providing overflow technical support when required;
  • Developing understanding of core business process; and
  • Helping others in the business with core business process.
  • About You
  • Proven successful experience in a first or second level IT support role providing service to a diverse range of technology users;
  • A passion for Customer Service Excellence;
  • Experience in supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems;
  • Experience supporting business critical and customer facing Apps;
  • Exceptional phone and face to face customer service skills;
  • Advanced MS Office skills with a particular focus on Excel and Outlook;
  • Experience in working autonomously for long periods with a personal drive to meet deadlines;
  • Great communication skills - verbal and written;
  • Great telephone manner;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think laterally are very important;
  • The ability to research independently and learn rapidly;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; and
  • Work independently to diagnose issues and find solutions in a timely manner.
