We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
- Procurement Specialist
- to join our team based in _Macquarie Park._
Reporting to the _Procurement Manager APAC, _this role is responsible for the day-to-day Procurement activities for Australia and New Zealand across all Abbott divisions. You will support and execute strategies for indirect categories and deliver the best total cost of ownership that effectively meet the business needs and objectives while ensuring compliance to the procurement policy implementation.
What does a day in this role looks likeAt Abbott, no two days are same. Your main responsibilities will include :
Building relationships with key divisional stakeholders to manage and facilitate day to day tasksProactively seek innovative ways to improve the procurement processes, cycle times and customer service levelsExecute the procurement process and compliance including completion of associated documentation and lead supplier negotiationsExecute and provide support in the commercial relationships for indirect categories, including sourcing, contract and vendor managementSupport in tenders and contract documentation, cost, terms and conditions negotiations with appropriate vendorsProactively seek opportunities to deliver savings & / or add value to spendingManage the purchase order approval process as per policies & SOP within expected timeframeExecute and manage preferred supplier program, provide assistance to internal customers in relation to supplier and contract management. As required, act as point of escalation between the supplier and internal customerPerform job responsibilities in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
