  • Project Mine Geologist
  • to join our mining client in WA. You will join our client for a permanent role offered on an 8 : 6 roster, working with their geology team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a mid-tier Mining company who has strong operating results, significant portfolio of projects and diversified commodity exposure.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Logging diamond drill core
  • Routine drilling data management and QAQC
  • Provide support in ore characterisation studies
  • Mentor and train graduates and mine geologists
  • Weekly and monthly reporting and reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain all mine geology procedures
  • Review and maintain quality control of geological data
  • Grade control activities and ore management activities
  • Plan, design and monitor underground diamond drilling
  • Aid in construction and maintenance of geological models
  • General duties and project work as directed by the Senior Mine Geologist
  • Provide robust short-term and long-term drilling schedules to the mining department
  • Identify, plan, and implement business improvement opportunities relating to mine geology

    • You will have :

  • Great organisational skills
  • A focus on safety and teamwork
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong understand of underground drilling processes
  • Knowledge of Geobank, Vulcan, or Leapfrog mining software advantages

    • Qualification :

  • Tertiary education in Geology
