Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia's largest Tin producer. Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life in excess of 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania's beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

• About the role

We are looking for an energetic, mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join our team.

In this role you will support trades personnel with daily maintenance requirements of the surface and underground mining operations.

This position is offered on 7 days on 7 days off roster.

• Core responsibilities
• Provide assistance to trades personal as required while complying with all statutory requirements and company safety standards and procedures.
• Undertake general handy man tasks as required.
• Operate minor equipment and hand tools as required.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleaning including the use of high-pressure air and water hoses.
• Attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Assist in executing preventative & routine maintenance activities.
• Reliable and cohesive team player willing to follow direction and work proactively with other teams.
• Complete lubrication tasks
• Pumping system autonomous maintenance.
• About you

You will be proactive with a strong safety focus and have experience in a similar labour-intensive role working within a mining environment and hold a working at heights and confined space qualification and or willing to obtain.
