Role Overview
The Manager, People and Culture plays a pivotal role in driving AVI's success by aligning people strategies with business goals to build a thriving, high-performance culture. This role will provide leadership and oversight to the P&C team, ensuring the delivery of HR services, policies, and programs to promote organisational culture while improving business practices, and ensuring compliance.
The Manager, People and Culture will be the strategic force behind attracting, engaging and developing talent, ensuring AVI's values are embedded in every part of the employee experience.
As a trusted advisor to, and member of, the Organisational Leadership Team, this role will partner across AVI to deliver progressive, compliant and impactful people solutions.

Position Requirements
This role will suit someone with :
Relevant tertiary / post tertiary qualifications in human resource management, business, psychology, or similarApplied knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR practices and performance management frameworksProven knowledge of employee / industrial relation frameworks, legislation and regulations.Practical knowledge of WHS systems, Workers Compensation and WHS Committees.Strong negotiation, problem-solving and influencing skills with ability to build relationships.Knowledge of job design, analysis and role evaluation using Mercer methodology (or similar).Proven experience and understanding of HR Operational activities (3-5 years).Experienced in providing strategic and operational expertise, coaching and consultancy services across a broad range of human resource functions to management and staff.Extensive working knowledge of and commitment to, relevant legislation, principles, regulations, and other compliance requirements (i.e. Equal Opportunity / Inclusive practice, OH&S / Workcover, Privacy, Child Safeguarding.)Proven experience in working with unions and in a consultative industrial relations environment, with negotiation of Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (essential).Cross-cultural awareness and a strong understanding of the challenges faced when working in an international context and with geographically dispersed teams.Experience in the design and implementation of global remuneration policy.
