About the business and the roleBOWT Pty Ltd as Trustee for Sansom Holdings t / a Prime Tennis ABN 21 382 700 382 operates out of the Allen Park Tennis Club and Peppermint Grove Tennis club, both of which are first class tennis facilities providing community participation through fixtures, tournaments, coaching programs, and general court hire and is open all year round.
Due to recent business growth, we are seeking to hire full-time tennis coach instructors to join our growing team.
- Job tasks and responsibilities
You are expected to provide professional coaching, training and instruction to participants / tennis players of all ages and ability levels through junior, adult and high-performance coaching programs, corporate tennis, coaching development and junior sport development by analysing their performances and developing their abilities through coaching and instruction.
- Day-to-day tasks and duties include
- Provide on court and off court coaching, training and instructing, according to the programs developed by the Head Coach - Tennis, by analysing performances and developing abilities;
- Management and coordination of Adult Tennis Program;
- Planning and direction of junior and adult tennis program, developing tennis play patterns, techniques analysis and analysing tennis game progress;
- Motivating junior, adult and high-performance tennis sportspersons and supervising tennis on court and off court practice sessions;
- Provide feedback to the Head Coach - Tennis regarding the tennis programs, player development and general enquiries;
- Assist the Head Coach - Tennis to implement innovative coaching programs focusing on participation within the community at all levels;
- Coordinating and directing tennis sporting and related activities, and liaising with other tennis officials to interpret and enforce rules and regulations relating to tennis;
- Recruiting tennis players and other tennis coaching staff;
- Assist in providing promotional support to specific programs and events as required;
- Ensure high standards of customer service and quality programs are maintained at all times;
- Ensure the health and safety of all participants;
- Ensure staff areas are kept clean and tidy at all times;
- Assist in providing support to other areas including the Pro Shop;
- Arranging entries into tennis competitions at all levels, where required;
- Promoting tennis and tennis skills development, and overseeing the participation of young people in tennis coaching, instruction, and skill development; and
- Officiating at tennis sporting and coaching and instruction events to enforce rules.
- Skills and experience
- AQF Certificate III or IV qualification;
- Minimum 2 years relevant and related work experience in tennis coaching;
- Experience coaching tennis at all levels;
- Working with Children Check;
- Exceptional customer service skills; and
- Well-developed inter-personal skills.
Base salary range : $55,000 - $65,000.00.
This is a full-time ongoing position as a TFN PAYG employee and not an ABN contractor position.
