  • Salary : APS 3 - EL2 = $67,902 - $159,720 (SESB1 to be negotiated on offer)

    • The opportunity

      Our Temporary Employment Register is open to anyone who would like to register an interest in temporary opportunities that may arise within Austrade. These opportunities may be based on the lands of the Kaurna People (Adelaide), Jagera and Turrbal People (Brisbane), Ngunnawal and Ngambri People (Canberra), Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people of the Eastern Kulin (Melbourne) and the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation (Sydney).

      We are looking for people with backgrounds in both public and / or private sectors who have a genuine interest in working with Australia’s international partners to tackle global challenges, increase international trade and investment attraction opportunities, understand and build client capability, protect international directions to keep our region stable and help Australian’s overseas.

      We welcome applications from those with diverse backgrounds including people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, those from non-English Speaking backgrounds and people from all ages and genders.       Eligibility

      Australian citizenship – our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.

      Security clearance – our successful candidate is required to hold, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a Baseline, Negative Vetting 1 or Negative Vetting 2 security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.       Pre-employment checks - your suitability for employment will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement to undergo and satisfy a National Police Check, referee checks, character clearance etc.
