Our Ethics and Compliance team support businesses, functions, leaders and individuals across the Virgin Australia Group to meet their ethical and regulatory obligations and manage compliance risks.

As a Compliance Program Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the continued development of the Ethics and Compliance Program. You will provide analytical, operational, and program management on projects aimed at identifying, mitigating, and remediating compliance risk.

• What you'll be doing
• Responsible for end-to-end compliance program delivery including :
• identifying and managing multiple compliance project schedules, dependencies, risks and issues timely monitoring and reporting of program progress
• Ownership of the delivery experience, including management of key stakeholders
• Provide general support on day-to-day operational ethics and compliance matters, e.g. incident management, data gathering and reporting on key compliance risk indicators and risk metrics, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis
• Support the Head of Ethics and Compliance in the development of interventions in response to data-driven indicators of ethical culture risk
• Provide advice on processes related to onboarding and monitoring Virgin Australia's partners and suppliers, including reviewing and advising on certain due diligence issues escalated from the various business stakeholders
• Partnering with key internal stakeholders, preparing, maintaining and regularly assessing policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• You'll be great in this role if you
• Have end to end regulatory risk and compliance project delivery experience
• Can manage a high volume of work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, implement change of processes, tools and develop agile ways of working
• Are confident with and have had experience developing, embedding and advising on risk / compliance obligations, process and controls
• Understand business processes and improvement methodologies
• Are a confident communicator and motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently when tasks require.
• Have an analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills that allow you to interpret complex regulatory policy and establish solutions for its implementation and fast adoption
• Have proficient experience using all Microsoft Office Suite programs including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite
• The qualifications we need for this role are
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law or Risk & Compliance Management (essential)
• Agile or other Project Management Certification (desirable)
