We are seeking a lawyer with 2 - 6 years PAE to join our Planning and Environment team in Sydney working directly working closely with our Planning and Environment partner, Alyce Johnson.

About the role You directly will work closely with a Partner with demonstrated experience in a wide range of planning and environmental law matters, including class 1 merit appeals, class 4 proceedings, class 3 compulsory acquisition matters and planning agreements. You will have an opportunity to thrive in this very busy team. You will principally be working for development proponents. The role involves :

  • Appearing at court for a variety of matters
  • Conducting legal research and analysis and drafting advice
  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of court documents and other legal proceedings
  • Briefing and liaising with Counsel and experts;
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of legal services, including working closely with the Real Estate team to assist their clients with delivering and completing due diligence development projects for land acquisition and future development.
