Reporting to theElectrical Projects & Reliability Officer, the role is responsible for all aspects of the Automation system, including maintenance, scoping of work, quotations, administrative support, execution and facilitating construction compliance with designs, specifications and industry best practice.
Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical power, control system and communications equipment and infrastructure. Conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues related to the control system operation. Programming and configuring control systems to meet specific project requirements and ensure optimal plant performance. Providing technical support, either onsite or remotely, including training on control system operation and maintenance. Responsible for the preparation of scopes of work and specifications for tender and construction purposes including preliminary site inspection and work feasibility assessment. Documenting service activities, including maintenance reports, work orders, and equipment records. Contributing to the development, and ongoing optimisation of preventative maintenance programmes. Adhering to safety regulations and protocols while working on control system installations and maintenance tasks. Skills & Experience Qualifications and Experience
A" Grade Electrical license. Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control. Maintenance experience and or project management in a heavy industrial environment. Technical, Professional and Specialist Skills
Well-developed organisation and planning skills including the ability to manage a diverse range of tasks concurrently to achieve deadlines. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with customers and suppliers. Well-developed job scoping, scheduling & cost estimating skills. Well-developed computer literacy skills, including experience with Maintenance based systems and spreadsheet development. Experience in conducting internal audits and maintaining and undertaking an effective system and process compliance audit program. Highly developed ability to interpret and apply standards and legislation. Detailed knowledge and application of the permit to work system. Experience in a production and operational orientated heavy industry environment including mobile machines (Stackers and Ship Unloaders) and conveying systems. Aveva Plant Scada and Studio 5000 Logix Designer Level 3. Previous on-site controls systems experience.
