  • Seeking a motivated Accountant with 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.

    Job Description

    • 4-month temporary contract with an immediate start.
    • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
    • Prepare financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts.
    • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support decision-making.
    • Ensure compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements, including BAS and GST reporting.
    • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and procedures.
    • Provide support during audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with auditors.
    • Handle ad hoc accounting tasks as required by the department.

      • The Successful Applicant

      The ideal candidate :

    • A relevant tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA / CA qualified or working towards.
    • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Previous experience in the Industrial / Manufacturing industry is advantageous.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when needed.
    • Only candidates with valid AU working rights will be considered for the position.
