The Molding Technician position is very “hands-on" and will require making necessary changes and adjustments to the technical blow molding and auxiliary equipment in a safe and controlled manner.

Your key responsibilities will be to :
Ensure correct changeover and set up of product tooling during the shiftEnsure correct changeovers of moulded product during the shift (i.e. colour changes, material changes).as per the production planMaking machine adjustments as per the setup sheet and training to maintain a quality productSet-up of ancillary equipment (i.e. blenders, leak detectors, robotic systems, IML systems, vision systems).Assist the Shift Supervisor and Operators with successful completion of each production run.Performing process troubleshooting, part inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and qualityVerifying paperwork for jobs and completion of inspections at start up of jobs and in process inspectionsMaintain machine and ancilliary equipment processing parameters to ensure quality, weight and cycle time compliancePrioritizing of work and machines to the production plan to ensure Customer deliveries are made on time and in full with no defectsMechanical maintenance of machines and ancilliary equipment to ensure they are kept in satisfactory conditionWorking overtime when required also working Weekends as requiredPacking product during meal breaks and slow down periods.Forklift Driving as requiredYour skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have :
5+ years’ experience in a Process, Die Set-up or Die Maintenance capacity in a manufacturing environment, plastics experience important.Mechanical and technical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and complex mechanical equipment.Demonstrated experience with trouble shooting issues with extrusion blow molding machines.Demonstrated knowledge of plastic materials and processes; including a general knowledge of mold design and operation; in extrusion blow molding processes; as well as proven familiarity with auxiliary equipment involved in blow molding.Ability to perform and recognize bottle quality and operating efficiency.Quality and dependability is a must to every employee!Desirable
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, technical or vocational training a plusCert III in Process Polymer Moulding or equivalentFitter & Turner / Machinist Trade qualifiedAdditional Information
