Safety Grooving Australia is an established business within the WA market. We offer a range of different services ranging from Asphalt Laying, Transport, Line Marking, Plant & Equipment, Labour Hire, Mechanical Servicing, Project Management to Airport Runway Grooving nationally and international.

We are an established business and have proven success in providing excellent service and equipment to the road construction, mining and airport industries.

We are looking for highly motivated Diesel Mechanics / Fitters who will join our team and work with us full-time.

As a Diesel Mechanic / Fitter, you are expected to :

• Complete repairs, servicing checks and service of all equipment, including preventative maintenance & breakdown repair of all equipment.
• Schedule, plan and coordinate equipment refurbishments, including engine rebuilding / reconditioning and machine rebuilding.
• Maintain, manage and action Work in Progress(WIP) on a daily basis,with minimum disruption to the operating fleet.
• Check the qualityof repairs prior to closingthe job.
• Assist in estimating job requirements including labour, parts and costs during the initial scoping stage of a project.
• Deliver a first-class service to our customers.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure the workshopis kept clean,providing a safe work environment.
• Manage subcontractors, ensuringalignment to SGA’ssafety standards and work practices, monitoring time sheets / invoices to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain WIP efficiency via parts, labour and subcontractor coordination.
• Provide accurate WIP reports to SGA Roads on regularbasis including expected due date, cost and any necessary comments.
• Identify cost saving reductions withoutjeopardizing quality for all workshop practices, subcontract repairs and consumables purchases.

To be successful on this role, you have the following skillset and qualifications :

Salary

The ideal candidate will be receiving a salary within the range of $40 - $50 per hour commensurate with skill set and experience.
