  • ABOUT THE BRANCH

The Policy and Governance Branch within the Shared Services Division provides policy advice for the whole of government APS ERP approach and shared services policy and managed the financial, performance and assurance functions of the Service Delivery Office (SDO). Our branch is responsible for the financial management, performance reporting, internal audit controls, and assurance for the SDO and the Division more broadly.

The Smaller Entity ERP Uplift Support Project Management Office (PMO) has been established to support the Government's new approach for the APS to access competitive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions - specifically, supporting smaller entities (around 800 ASL or less) in selecting and implementing the ERP uplift that best meets their needs and budgets.

  • OPPORTUNITY
  • The Change Manager is responsible for leading change management efforts in the context of ICT uplift and ERP projects within the PMO. The role ensures that new ICT systems, including ERP platforms, are successfully integrated into the organisation by focusing on the people side of change, helping stakeholders understand, adopt, and utilise new processes, systems, and technologies.

    This position involves developing and implementing change management strategies, building stakeholder engagement, and monitoring the progress of change initiatives to ensure they meet project goals. The role requires collaboration with a range of stakeholders, including project teams, business units, and external vendors, to support the successful adoption of ICT changes.

    Key responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Change Strategy Leadership : Develop, implement, and lead change management strategies that ensure successful adoption of ICT systems, including ERP platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to assess the impact of changes and develop tailored strategies to manage the human side of change.
  • Communication and Training : Lead communication efforts, ensuring clear, structured messaging about changes, and deliver training to ensure employees are equipped to work with new systems.
  • Risk and Resistance Management : Identify potential risks and resistance points during the change process, developing mitigation strategies and maintaining momentum toward successful adoption.
  • Monitor and Report : Track the progress of change initiatives, evaluating their effectiveness against key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement : Incorporate feedback, lessons learned, and industry best practices to improve change management practices and methodologies for future projects.
  • Cultural Change Leadership : Foster a culture of positive change within the organisation, supporting teams in navigating transitions and enhancing organisational readiness for future ICT and ERP initiatives.
