The role
Join the high performing Planning Directorate as our Manager Business Services, where you’ll play a critical leadership role in shaping and delivering streamlined, innovative and high quality business operations.
As a trusted advisor to the Director Planning, you’ll lead a dedicated business services team, oversee core administrative functions and drive strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance and service delivery. This role is central to ensuring the Directorate’s operations are well-supported, future-ready and aligned with broader organisational goals.
You’ll manage a broad portfolio - including project coordination, budgeting support, business case development, internal communications and process improvement across the employee lifecycle. You’ll also be responsible for stakeholder engagement, professional development coordination and ensuring corporate and legislative compliance across all business services activities.

You will have
Desirable but not essential skills include proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, experience with collaboration tools (e.g. Wrike or Monday.com), project management qualifications (such as PRINCE2 or PMP), and experience in customer service or private sector environments.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $111,988 (Grade I, Step 1) + 11.5% super.
Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
