We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Psychology to join the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University. The University has received funding from the Australian Government through the Addressing Critical Psychologist Shortages-Supporting Provisional Psychologists to Practice grant. This funding and a major part of this position will be to support service providers in the facilitation of internships under the 5+1 (Master of Professional Psychology) program.
The key responsibilities of the position will include :
Liaising with existing, as well as potential external stakeholders to create new internship opportunities for provisional psychologists graduating from an MPP program. Partnering with the Work Integrated Learning (Placement) team and Placement Development Officers on the identification, facilitation, organisation, training and support of supervisors. Develop and maintain a Supervisor Support Hub, including the design and delivery of professional development initiatives and the facilitation of peer support networks for supervisors Curriculum design and review, as well as providing innovative and engaging teaching, informed by approaches that enhance the student experience. Contributing to the planning and evaluation of course topics, and undertaking the role of Topic Coordinator as required. Maintaining professional knowledge relevant to teaching within their discipline through scholarship and professional development. About You
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills. They will have supervisor experience (and be approved by the Psychology Board of Australia as a supervisor) and will demonstrate their ability to develop resources for supervisors. Project management skills and experience will be required. To be successful, you will have a Masters or PhD (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant field.

Completion of a PhD, and / or a master's qualification and equivalent professional experience in a relevant area. Registration as a psychologist and endorsement as a clinical psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra). Experience in teaching and learning at a tertiary level. Experience with postgraduate psychology placements / internships and / or the supervision of postgraduate psychology students on placements or in internships. Experience in supporting, mentoring, and providing feedback, to support the learning and professional development of provisional psychologists.
