What You'll Be Doing
The Fund check and Inpatient Revenue Clerk is responsible for the timely generation of health insurance fund checks of all patients admitted to NSLHD Facilities. The position plays a pivotal role in promoting the use of private health insurance by ensuring that all patients admitted as private are covered for their admission, resolving issues, correcting inpatient billing data and escalating any complex issues to the Patient Liaison Team for resolution.
The Fund check and Inpatient Revenue Clerk is part of the Patient Liaison Team and works closely with Patient Liaison, Admissions and the Revenue Department staff to ensure all patient information is accurate and files completed in a timely manner.
The Fund check and Inpatient Revenue Clerk will work under broad supervision but will be required to take some independent action. Scope exists for exercising initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures. Decisions affecting the overall functioning and management of Chargeable patient Revenue functions will remain the responsibility of the Senior Patient Liaison Officer and Revenue Manager.
